Retail Installation Recap: A Beautiful Weekend at Westside Motor Lounge

This past weekend marked something special — not just a pop-up, but what I’ll now be calling a Retail Installation. Hosted by the ever-stylish Aishah R of @boddo_studio, the event took place at Westside Motor Lounge in Atlanta, GA, and it was nothing short of magic.

Over the course of two sunny days (July 19 & 20), I had the joy of showing up alongside an inspiring lineup of creators and culinary artisans. These included:

I was there representing House of Nambili, with my upholstery work on full display — or rather, on full installation. It was the first time I consciously introduced my chairs not just as furniture, but as Art. And the crowd agreed! I had countless meaningful conversations, and one major highlight was selling the beloved pair of Eastlake chairs — fully rebuilt, hand-tied, and reimagined with love and heritage.

Whether folks were stopping by for a bite, a sip, or to browse, the vibes were high and the energy was rich with creativity and culture. A time was truly had.

Huge thanks again to Aishah Rashied Hyman and Boddo Studio for curating such a thoughtful and vibrant space for Black makers and designers. I’m already looking forward to the next House of Nambili Installation.

Until next time,
